Wallet friendly: Valve's annual Steam Summer Sale has arrived and is ready to do battle with your wallet. Luckily, with plenty of steep discounts available, you might just survive with minimal financial casualties.

Those looking to escape with as little damage as possible should head directly to the new deep discounts section. Here, you will find an array of outstanding offers including 90 percent off titles like Castle Crashers, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Jurassic World Evolution 2, and Batman: Arkham Knight.

You can also pick up a copy of Sid Meier's Civilization VI for $2.99 – that's 95 percent off the regular price – in preparation for the sequel due out next year.

Elden Ring holdouts might finally be ready to make the leap with a 30 percent discount on their side, which brings the total cost down to $41.99. That puts it in line with the new expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, currently priced at $39.99 so you're looking at roughly $80 for the pair.

Ready or Not, a tactical first-person shooter that launched late last year to very positive reviews, can come home for $33.49 after a 33 percent discount. Tekken 8, the latest entry in the long-running fighting game franchise, is priced under $40 thanks to a 43 percent instant discount and there's even a demo you can try beforehand. Baldur's Gate 3, with its overwhelming positive rating, is 20 percent off at $47.99.

Manor Lords, the wildly successful city building game from Slavic Magic, is 25 percent off, as is Palworld and Lethal Company.

Several fan-favorites are also on sale for the next couple of weeks. No Man's Sky, Dead Island 2, Farming Simulator 22, and Cyberpunk 2077 are all half off. Hogwart Legacy is 60 percent off, and GTA V can be had at a 63 percent discount.

The Steam Summer Sale runs through July 11 at 10 a.m. Pacific. GOG is also hosting its summer sale which, coincidentally enough, wraps up on the same day.

Just fyi, gog and epic have more of less identical sales at the same time, so it might be worth checking the other stores.
Humble too. Luckily all the sales last far enough into July that their monthly Choice will drop in time to avoid accidentally buying something that's then given for free.

Always find it interesting it see people complaining about Choice - it really is good value. Plus tends to be pretty games that are not regularly bundled elsewhere.Ie normally the cheapest option to first get them.
Add in the weekly Epic freebie .

Yeah I don't have game pass as don't have an Xbox for family. But people who fronted load and stack years when it first come out , and bought out of Brazil or Turkey or wherever , probably got the best deal. I stacked PS at cheapest level out to something like 2036 and did a set upgrade to max level for was it $70 for all those years

Its already too late.

Bought Forza Horizon 4 and Palworld, Steam said "players like you love this game"! Bastards, I already have over 100 hours in Palworld for Xbox game pass :p

Yep , there are deals as good as shell shocker of Newegg but my long anticipated games are with low discounts unfortunately .

Also, I only ever buy during the winter sale, and I have to buy at most N-1 games that I completed in the prior year.

Backlog is slowly but surely shrinking.

What is that game picture with the large giant in it? Why no damn image captions? I wanna see about buying that game!!! I'm guessing it's 'Hogwart's Legacy". If there were image captions I wouldn't be guessing though.
