The Rise and Fall of Sega: A Legendary Gaming Journey

Fond memories of the Genesis and the Dreamcast but for me the greatest moments are with AM2 and Sega's arcade hardware.

I simply could not get over Daytona USA when it first arrived in arcades. I could watch the attract mode for ages, if I had no coins that day to shovel in to play it. The contrast between the then aging 16 bit home console hardware and 2D coin ops versus this mind blowing leap will never be experienced again. Happy I saw it.

We are still anticipating a new Virtua Fighter game in the future. Rumors are that Virtua Fighter 6 is coming!

This was a nostalgic read. The memories of playing Master System, Mega Drive, Saturn, and all the others were wonderful. I learned a lot about info we didn't have access to back then (no internet) or were too young to understand.

IT blows my mind that Sammy bought Sega and got rid of all the legendary teams... They kept Yu Suzuki (who could be miyamoto tier) and didn't let him make anything...

Sega from Genesis to Dreamcast were absolutely top tier. The teams were epic it's a shame management killed the company. If Sega of American or Sega of Japan weren't constantly fighting... Things would have been very different.

RIP Sega 2003...
